Graduated from the College of Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in May 1996 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Studies included thermofluids, design, manufacturing, mechanics, thermodynamics, computer applications and programming, and advanced mathematics with specialty in materials selection/properties and refrigeration/air conditioning. Cumulative GPA 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Head Instructor
O2 Martial Arts Academy (formally Academia Casca Grossa de Jiu-Jitsu), 1994 to present.
Own and operate a martial arts school, perform seminars and demonstrations at various venues and events for the general public, Honolulu Police Department including SWAT team, FBI, and the military. Also, serve regularly as a referee at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling tournaments. Serve as a judge for various mixed martial arts events such as Super Brawl/Icon Sport, K-1, Punishment in Paradise, Warriors Quest, Pacific Fighting Championships, Rumble on the Rock, X-1, Shooto, Amateur Fighting Competition, Shogun, Ultimate Combat Championships, Ironheart Crown, Got Skills, Hawaii Fighting Championship, and Ruff Man Competition. Performed color and play by play commentary for Super Brawl/Icon Sport, X-1, and Rumble on the Rock events which aired on television, Pay-Per-View, DVD distribution, and live internet broadcasts.

Co-Host Fighters' Club TV, 2003 to present
Along with my partner Mark Kurano, host a television magazine featuring mixed martial arts, kickboxing, and martial arts events and tournaments. Perform interviews with various fighters, instructors, and promoters as well as profile events and schools.

SUMA Preview Show Host, 2006
Main host for a preview television show for an upcoming Stand Up Martial Arts (SUMA) event which was held at the Blaisdell Arena. Performed interviews with the three featured fighters, their trainers, and promoter.

Hawaii Shooto Commissioner, October 2003 to present
Shooto is one of the oldest and most regulated and organized mixed martial arts organization in the world. Oversees all Shooto events in Hawaii, verifies weigh ins, performs rules briefing, judges all events, provides official results for all events in Hawaii.

Experienced with security (access contol and closed circuit television) and professional sound systems. Gold level sales status since 2001 which is the highest level of recognition. Responsible for the same tasks stated below as a Design Technician in addition to primarily estimating new and existing fire sprinkler, fire alarm, clean agent fire suppression, Ansul IND-X fire extinguishing systems, rangehood fire extinguishing systems, CO2 systems, and electrical projects and their associated trades, managing the service department overseeing all service work and finances, estimating and design rangehood systems, and dealing with clients and management issues. Responsible for issuing and negotiation of contracts and tracking labor, design, and material costs for projects. Responsible for managing the inspection department which included duties such as scheduling, requesting Fire Department Bureau numbers, estimating inspections, supervising inspectors.
